Ms. Hughes-Crosbie’s Favorites

GHA tradition: Learning outside and connected to place; project-based learning.

Neighborhood spot: My actual neighborhood! I enjoy walking my dogs and visiting with my neighbors. Invitation Bookshop and Teaching Toys Too are fun local places to browse.

Outdoor activity: Walking my dogs, beachcombing with Harbor Wildwatch, and stand-up paddle boarding in local waters.

Place to read: Everywhere! Under a pile of pets, in the bath, in a boat, and I also enjoy audiobooks when I drive, walk, and clean.

Childhood memory: Dressing up my cats in baby clothes and playing house, asking my dad to read Cinderella to me for the 100th time, watching the rain on the windows in the car, and playing school.
