Dominic Kehoe joined Gig Harbor Academy in the summer of 2020 as Head of School, bringing several years of experience leading Independent Schools. He has his state teaching and administrative certifications and an MA in Teaching. As a former science teacher, Dominic loves Gig Harbor Academy’s hands-on, inquiry-based approach and the outdoor focus our campus promotes. Dominic is originally from Scotland and an avid traveler, but calls the Northwest home. He and his wife have two daughters who attend GHA. When he is not at school, Dominic loves exploring the outdoors with his family. He is a rock climber, scuba diver, and loves soccer
GHA Tradition: I love the Color Run at the start of the school year, where the whole school celebrates being back together!
Neighborhood Spot: Our family loves Bella Bella Beach on Fox Island. On a sunny day, there is nowhere else I’d rather be.
Outdoor Activity: Our family loves to kayak around the sound. We have two double kayaks and are getting more adventurous in our expeditions each time.
Place to Read: I love to read in the nooks of the big cedars on campus when there is some peace and quiet.
Childhood Memory: Hiking with my Dad in the hills of Scotland where I grew up.
