Earning her BAS in Early Childhood Education from North Seattle College, Brittney Shirey brings more than eight years of experience in early childhood education to her role as Lead Preschool Teacher. Having been part of the Gig Harbor Academy community for many years, she has developed a deep connection to GHA’s philosophy and approach to learning. She believes young children learn best through meaningful relationships, play, and hands-on exploration. In her classroom, she encourages curiosity, creativity, and independence by creating experiences that invite children to explore, ask questions, take appropriate risks, follow their interests, and make discoveries about the world around them.
