Fourth Grade Teacher (Job Share)

Gig Harbor Academy seeks an experienced Fourth Grade teacher to job share (two days/week), who will embrace the hands-on, inquiry and collaborative instructional environment consistent with the school's mission. Collegial coordination with fellow faculty members to ensure instructional continuity and integration of different curriculum elements a must. Frequent parent communication and support of the school's initiatives with regard to curriculum, activities and programs are expectations of all faculty members. Candidates must hold a teaching certificate and a minimum of 2 years classroom experience is preferred. Substitute Teacher

Substitute Childcare Teacher

Gig Harbor Academy's Childcare is seeking a passionate and loving person to join our preschool/school-age childcare team. Hours vary between 6:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and have a flexible schedule. At least 1 year of experience working with preschool and/or school-age children required and knowledge of curriculum planning preferred.  The applicant must also possess or be willing to complete the following:

  • TB Test
  • Current first aid, CPR, and bloodborne pathogens training
  • Cleared DEL criminal background check (Must be completed before hire)
  • 30 hours basic STARS training
  • Current food handler’s permit
